about us

The purpose of Treasure State Stockdogs is to provide support to all dog owners with a special emphasis in helping those with herding breeds. Treasure State is owned and operated by Juliet Flynn. We are based out of Townsend, Montana but serve the surrounding communitites from Helena to Bozeman. Julie grew up on a cattle ranch and developed a deep appreciation of what a good working dog can do. Her love of dog training began at the age of 9 when she got her first Border Collie puppy. A year later she became a member of the 4-H dog project and competed in obedience and agility including AKC and NADAC competitions. Julie further pursued her passion of working with and caring for animals by completing a Bachelor of Science degree in Animal and Range Science from Montana State University in Bozeman, Montana (2014).

Julie currently resides on her family’s ranch in Townsend, Montana with her husband and two young children. In 2018 Julie served her first year as the Broadwater County 4-H Dog Project leader for agility and rally obedience and looks forward to many more. She also launched ‘Treasure State Stockdogs” and began teaching group classes and individual lessons.

Julie’s hope for Treasure State Stockdogs is to provide local support to all dog owners, regardless of breed, and to bring dog enthusiasts together in a friendly, low-pressure atmosphere. Thank you for visiting this site and I look forward to serving you soon!
